The Best Homemade Guacamole Recipe - No Frills Guac is guacamole as it should be; a little acid from fresh lime, mild punch of flavor from garlic, and a hefty pinch of sea salt. Period. We got sick of seeing girly guac. Topped with pretty things like chopped red onion and fresh tomato, as girls like to say “for color”. Or with roasted jalapenos “for a kick”. And sometimes with queso or crispy bacon because they think by adding cheese or bacon it’ll make guac guy-friendly. We got sick of all that bullshit. We basically want our No Frills Guac as close to avocado as we can get it. And we want to put it on everything.
Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl and mash it with the lime juice, crushed garlic, and sea salt.
Serve with the cilantro leaves on top and revel in the fact simple guac is the fucking best guac.
